Rev. Hicks is a native of Philadelphia, PA. She successfully completed high school then continued further to receive advanced degrees in the areas of Psychology, Education, Divinity, Practical Theology and Church Administration.
Rev. Hicks is an ordained Elder in the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church and a 43 year veteran of the preaching ministry. She is a member of the Durham District and has been pastor at several churches in South Carolina. Presently she serves as Pastor of Prince Chapel CME Church located in New Hill, NC; her ministerial theme is faith, grace and mercy. |

Rev. Hicks is the proud recipient of many honors and recommendations to include Who’s Who 2008, the Distinguished Women of the Low Country in Religion 2010. She is a published writer. She mentors young seminary students through the Faith Journey Partnership in Parish Ministry Program. Rev. Hicks is a member in good standing in the National Council of Negro Women, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, Ecumenical Ministers Association, the Interdenominational Community Alliance, The National Scholars Honor Society, and Theta Phi.
Rev. Hicks has traveled to the Holy Land and to Egypt. She is noted for her afro-centric perspective, a winning smile and her passion to liberate the marginalized, the silent and the oppressed. |
